On Friday, September 13th, 2019, the Chicago Athenaeum together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, opens a special exhibition titled “The City and the World”, in which Luoyuan Anglican Church and all other awarded buildings are presented to the public. After the Reception there will be an Awards Presentation and Gala Dinner in direct sight of the Acropolis. “The International Architecture Awards are the oldest global awards for new architecture, landscape architecture, interiors and urban planning. The program was launched by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in 2005 to honour and celebrate the most outstanding architecture designed throughout the world.” See all winning projects HERE.

Amongst other leading figures in Fujian’s design industry Dirk U. Moench was member of the jury in the architectural design competition “Return to Nature“ sponsored by the national developing company “Vanke”. In the preceding podium discussion Dirk pointed out that mankind’s relationship to nature is a paradox: as much as we long to live in harmony with it, we cannot avoid changing its balance in the very moment we set foot on it.
China New Vision is the first Chinese TV program focused on cutting-edge contemporary artists. Previously the show had interviewed Wang Shu, Zhang Yonghe, Ma Yansong, Cai Guoqiang, Ai Weiwei and other famous artist and architects. INUCE Creative Director Dirk U. Moench and INUCE Managing Director Lin Xi were invited to the popular talkshow „Discover the Story“ with host Yu Li. Dirk expressed his concern about how easily our cultural heritage can vanish in today‘s globalized and industrialized world, and explained his thoughts on how culture can be revitalized and further developed based on the example of a series of „architectural sculptures“ he developed for his project „Memorial of Feizhu“ in the bamboo - growing village of Feizhu nearby Fuzhou.
